Course description

The module begins by defining green entrepreneurship as the creation of businesses whose primary objective is to address environmental challenges and promote sustainability. It emphasizes the increasing global push toward green initiatives as a means of balancing economic growth, social progress, and environmental preservation. The historical evolution of environmental awareness—from early waste reduction efforts to the rise of the green movement in the 1960s and 1970s, and the development of eco-technologies in the 1990s—highlights the growing role of entrepreneurship in creating solutions to sustainability issues.
